I’m accepting orders right through the holiday period, however keep in mind the post service closed days:

The absolute last day for orders within NZ is Thursday, 22 December. To avoid disappointment, make sure your order is in by 1pm on this day.

I’ll also be busy dyeing all through January, so we’ll have lots of exciting new stock and replenished existing colour ways back in store by the end of the month.

I’m a big big fan of Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. So, too, is Martina Behm, who designs the extremely popular Hitchhiker themed shawlettes.

Hitchhiker’s are great, speedy, easy knitting and perfect for Christmas.

And the movie is a great one to giggle along to while you knit! (Martin Freeman, Zooey Deschanel and Sam Rockwell are all on my greatest most favouritest actors. Hooray!)

It’s amazing the ideas some people come up with. I’m always a sucker for knit projects on an epic scale, and Rachel John’s project in 2006 is no exception. The video is rather mesmerising – all those strands of yarn feeding up and over the rail to the second floor. Beautiful…

Before New Zealand won the rugby (hooray!) I had the great pleasure of spending a few days over that long weekend with friends up the Wellington coast. There was lots of knitting, food, knitting, sunshine, knitting, chatting, movies, knitting… and taking of photos.

It was all rather lovely. The problem with holidays: wanting it to go on longer!

After the great success of her first book, Belinda Too has done it again! Blendy Knits Again is a great composition of patterns designed with kiwi knitters in mind – and again, the book features Knitsch!

We’re proud to be part of the Blendy Knits Again book launch in Wellington – featuring loads of yarn, and…the official launch of Knitsch DK weights!
